We acquired a vast assortment of Ethnic Artwork, Sculptures and Paintings from
the Himalayas and the surrounding regions. The items originate from the
collection of a single Buddhist scholar and graduate of Tribhuvan University in
Nepal who, for over 40 years, dedicated his professional life to
promoting various Shamanistic, Hindu and Buddhist artworks in the form of Wood
Carvings, Stone Sculptures and traditional Paintings. Tribal contacts in Nepal
sought his assistance in exhibiting their artworks in America in the hopes of
creating interest in their creativity. During his travels, extensive fieldwork
and communication with ethnic and tribal groups added to his knowledge and
appreciation of the arts. At one point his property was abandoned in storage
due to circumstances we are unaware of, and we are now making these objects
available online for purchase by collectors worldwide. We do not have the
background to describe the specific origins of the individual pieces of
artwork, but we believe most of the items were brought to America in the 1970's
and 80's, and some may date back to the 19th century. The vast majority are
from the 20th Century.
